Hello, I am Jane of Copper Top Cakes based in Nottingham.

In 2012 I received a ‘Silver Award’ for my Theatre Cake at the British Sugarcraft Exhibition at Telford and following that another ‘Silver Award’ at Cake International NEC for my Cherub wedding cake.

I also paint, and I received an award in ‘Leisure Painter’ category for an oil painting entered in Patchings Art Festival in June 2012.

2012 has been quite busy and I have now taken a British Sugar Guild demonstrator course and am waiting to do my final two assessments with more demonstrations in the pipeline.

I have also completed Level 1 & 2 Food Safety and Hygiene City & Guilds accredited.

Prior to this in 1992 I entered ‘The Good Food Guide’ magazine decorate a cake competition. It was the second time I had entered it and this time I made it into the final three. The winner was decided at a live demonstration during thay year’s Good Food Guide show at the NEC.

I designed and decorated the Summer Fun cake which took me to third place in the final behind two more vastly experienced cake decorators.

Here is a picture of me with the cake in 1992 taken for the Nottingham Evening Post.

You can see examples of my work on this website, all of which are available to buy.
